Responding to a strong interest in Japan to comment on ICRP’s draft report Radiological Protection of People and the Environment in the Event of a Large Nuclear Accident, a translation into Japanese of some key sections is now available.
The full draft in English is available on the public consultation web page for this report.
Comments can be submitted through this web page until 20 September 2019. Normally we ask for comments in English, the working language of ICRP, but exceptionally in this case we will also accept comments in Japanese.
Due to the specific nature of this draft report, stakeholders will have an additional opportunity to provide comments during an open workshop to be held in Tokyo on 25 October 2019. Admission will be free, but advance registration will be required as space will be limited. Further details will be announced shortly.
