Benjamin Puzantian obtained Master of Science in Physics (2023) and Honours Bachelor of Science in Physics (2020) degrees at the University of Ottawa with research focuses in Condensed Matter Physics and Astrophysics respectively.
Currently, Benjamin is a PhD Candidate in Carleton University's Medical Physics Program where he conducts research on the biological effects of ionizing radiation on humans by in vitro lymphocytes studies in the Radiobiology Group in Ionizing Radiation Health Science Division of Health Canada under the supervision of Dr. Lindsay Beaton-Green. Through this work, Benjamin and the Radiobiology Group seek to improve biodosimetry techniques for triage dose estimates in nuclear emergencies and dose estimates of astronauts after long-term space travel.
