Radiation detriment is one of the essential parts in the radiological protection system. This paper will contribute to the future discussions of the radiological protection system by fully understanding the detriment calculation. Section 6.3 “Suggestions for future improvement” is surely informative to the discussions of next “Recommendations”. Considering the complicated content of each items of section 6.3, it is necessary to propose the concrete idea for improving the following discussions amid the rapid progress of carcinogenesis mechanism researches. For example, regarding para (140), the difference between cancer and non-cancer mechanism by low-low dose rate radiation should be discussed under the recent radiobiological research progress. In addition, the definition of threshold dose should be clearly shown for promoting the discussions. (Finally, it is necessary to clarify the process regarding the next “Recommendations” by taking into account the importance of this paper.)
