Enabling Sustainable Development Through the System of Protection: Practicality and Alignment

This workshop, jointly organised by World Nuclear Association and the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) and in coordination with our partners at Bruce Power, Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA), International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA), and McMaster University, was a follow-up to the 3 October 2024 webinar that explored a number of key topics which will play an important part in the review and revision of the System of Radiological Protection and in enabling sustainable development such as the COP28 ambition of tripling nuclear capacity.

 

REGISTRATION

All proceeds from event registration and sponsorship will go to supporting the IRPA Montreal Fund and the ICRP Next Generation Initiative.

 

VENUE

This two day workshop will take place at McMaster University's David Braley Health Sciences Centre located at 100 Main Street West in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

McMaster University’s David Braley Health Sciences Centre is a 192,000 square-foot LEED Gold-certified building, designed by Norr Architects and Engineers, and is the recipient of a World Architecture Award (29th Cycle). The Centre, located in downtown Hamilton and completed in 2015, is home to the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine’s Department of Family Medicine as well as the City of Hamilton’s Public Health Services.
