Marina Di Giorgio holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Buenos Aires University (UBA), Argentina, along with postgraduate degrees in Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety, and Higher Biological Chemistry. With over 35 years of experience specializing in radiobiology and biodosimetry, she served as Vice-President of the Argentine Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARN) Board from March 2020 to February 2024. She has represented Argentina on the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) since 2010 and is currently part of its Expert Group on "Second Primary Cancers after Radiotherapy." Additionally, Marina is a consultant for international conventions related to nuclear emergencies, providing critical assistance across Latin America. She has held leadership roles in various organizations and authored over one hundred technical papers presented at international events.
