Dr Michiya Sasaki has joined the ICRP Scientific Secretariat as a cost-free expert loaned by Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry of Japan (CRIEPI) for a period of one year, renewable to a maximum of three years. CRIEPI is a non-profit foundation engaged in research and development. Dr Sasaki received his PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Tohoku University in Japan and is part of the CRIEPI Radiation Measurement Group. In addition to having published a number of scientific papers and making a number of presentations at international conferences in English, he has been Scientific Secretary of the Editorial Board of the Japanese Journal of Health Physics since 2009.
