Donald Milller, who had been elected to the ICRP Main Commission as Committee 3 Chair, has resigned due to a conflict of interest between his duties as a trustee of ICRP and his obligations to his employer, the US Food and Drug Administration.
Colin Martin, ICRP Committee 3 Vice-Chair, is leading the Committee until election of a new Chair.
Election of a new Committee 3 Chair will take place during the next meeting of the Main Commission, to be held October 6-8, 2017. This is immediately prior to the 4th International Symposium on the System of Radiological Protection and the 2nd European Radiological Protection Research Week (ICRP-ERPW 2017), taking place in Paris, October 10-12.
