ICRP 2019: What You Need to Know

2019-07-05

Hosted by the Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) and the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), the 5th International Symposium on the System of Radiological Protection will be in Adelaide, Australia from 17-21 November 2019.

Registration is open! To capitalise on the early bird pricing, make sure to register before 1 August 2019.  Does your organisation wish to sponsor the event, set up an exhibition booth, or check out the social programme? All you need to know can be found on the ICRP 2019 website.

Interested in having a larger role in one of the biggest events in the radiological protection profession? While you might have seen “Mines, Medicine, and Mars” highlighted for this event, rest assured that all relevant topics in radiological protection are welcome to submit posters and abstracts.

The call for abstracts for oral presentations ends on 29 July 2019.  Sought after disciplines are, but not limited to:

  • Radiation Protection in the Resource Industry
  • Radiation from Energy Production
  • Systemic Radiation Protection Challenges
  • Future of Radiation Protection
  • Low Dose Radiation
  • Medical
  • Extra-terrestrial Radiation protection
  • Natural radioactivity and public health
  • Policy

Additionally, for the first time at an ICRP symposium, professionals will be able to showcase their research and expertise through poster display.  The specific information for posters can be found on the bottom half of the page below the oral presentation.  The deadline for submitting a poster is 1 September 2019.
